Word-Learning and Category Formation in Infants
Lexical Development in Children
Theory of mind

I'm interested in an issue about retention of information in human communication. I have a fundamental doubt about the way someone can perceive others' feeling and thinking similarly in daily life despite the fact that self conscious has been in disconnection. In other words we all might be in such a situation which we can't conjecture others' mind. Language as itself is one of the important tools that we follow the gist of this phenomenon. In this way I was interested in and have been researching about language. The concrete approach is that pre-linguistic category formation in infants. I wanted to know the mental process of embodiment by language and conceptual thinking and to understand others' mind by linguistic approach.

In human communication, it might be essential to share some sort of information. But the way to quantify exactly the magnitude of human introspective (the first person's data) haven't been given yet. If one appreciates the others' introspective, it might become objective evaluation by third party (the third person's data). (e.g. Chalmers 1998)

When we inform our internal representation that is unfathomable externally and communicate efficiently, it's the commonest practice that we use some kind of measures. Therefore, I focused attention on language that is one of the measures and have been researching about linguistic problem and categorization process.
However, there should exist the other way to share concepts we all perceive on a regular basis. Discovering the way might be the most important issue in the future.

Many fundamental questions about the human mind can be addressed by studying infants.
